Yes I understand this, but what if comp cams does not machine their gear bore size the same as HD did. The press fit is a close tolerance. I am sure they would not take it back after I pressed it apart. That is why I would want one assembled. I guess I could call and see what they have to say.
Heat the gear, cool the cam, you can do it at home in the kitchen...if you are single...

Yup or a press... at times I change the Timing on purpose .. but.. Press fit, is Press fit!!
