i would suggest looking for a little longer

a good set of FLH fiberglass bags in good condition is worth all the money....IMO

the cheapest way out of it is to fix up a crackes set....

there are deals out there you just got to keep looking

if you do find a pair of bags that need repairing we've been using PlyoGrip by Valvalone for a few years now to repair smc and fiberglass and other composition materials. A lot of the material which looks like fiberglass is actually "sheet molded compound" which doesn't take a repair using a traditional fiberglass repair. good luck on your search for the bags.
I don't know how many times I considered selling the bags off my shovel head before I came to my senses and put them back on the bike where they belonged.

My ol' lady bought me some smc bags, but they are a little small for my bike. They look good, but I would prefer "factory" bags. Thanx for your advice on the repair kit, I'll have to check that out. F.T.W.( Forever Two Wheels)
