Default Wiring question for a 74 fxe....

I am getting ready to re-wire my 74 fxe.I have the wiring diagram, and wiring kit.I have looked over the diagram(many times).I seen on paper there should be two terminal boards. On the bike I can only find one(under the seat and in front of oil bag).If there is supposed to be two where would the front boeard be located at??Right now the wiring lookes like a rats nest. All the wires look like they connect on the ignition switch. Is that correct or a fast fix?
Any advice would be great.

My manual refers to it as the "fork terminal board" so I imagine it should be up on the front end somewhere like maybe under the headlight eyebrow.
It doesn't show it as being inside the headlight housing but maybe someone moved it there.
Good luck.

I haven't pulled the headlight out of my `79 yet but if it's like my `83 sportster, there is a nice mess of wiring in the headlight bucket. This is probably what they are refering to.

Unclejo, the second will be exactly where Hippy said it is...a mess of wires under the top of the headlight.

Thanks for all the response.
I checked under the visor and in the headlight housing....nothin!
Thereare two holes (one one each side)and a rectangular opening top back of the headlight housing.Would that be where a terminal board would go?
Thanks again for the help.

Take the headlight bulb out. Once you see all the wires in there you will wonder how there is room for the light. At least it is that way on my 79.

Forgot to add, while you are in there check the GROUND for the headlight. On mine it was rivited to the bottom of the bucket and the rivit worked itself loose. Gets damn dark on a 2 lane at 1am when you loose your ground! I used a bolt and nut to fix mine.
