Hi Arby sorry I missed your post I've been extremely busy lately
I purchased the lever starter system from V Twin PN 32-0956
installation is pretty simple.
remove the outer primary and clutch hub for easy access
remove the electric solenoid assy.
retain the starter drive lever and springs.
install the lever starter and shim the lever for proper engagement and disengagement.
route the only wire from the starter lever to a Bosch type relay then to a late style starter relay which has the primary Positive leads from the battery to the starter.
wiring diagram is included with the kit.
I didn't take any pictures while I installed the switch sorry but its pretty straight forward how the thing works. Its simply removing the electric solenoid with a lever you manually use to push the starter drive into the ring gear and with the thing adjusted correctly once the gear is engaged a set of contact points inside the lever assy. creates a ground which completes the circuit excites the small relay which excites the larger relay and contact all systems go..
