reproduction tank 67 FL
I all,
I just bought a 67 FL. the left side gas tank has pinholes and a previous weld which let go. There in not enough metal to weld it so the shop used fiberglass and relined. Are there any good reproduction companys out there or a place other than ebay where I could find a replacement tank?
thanks and ride safely

IMHO there are absolutely no good reproduction tanks. They all fit like $hit, are made like crap and will not match your right tank. Shape of aftermarket is different, holes do not align properly to frame mounts, curvature of tops do not align properly to dash cover.
A good metal worker can fabricate, shape and plate a cover that will eliminate the need for glass except to smooth the weld out.
And the flea is a good bet. Not sure how far you have to travel from RO to PA but Oley is 27-28 April. Never been there (yet) but it is a very big AMCA meet full of nothing but old bikes and parts. Would also be well worth your time
