Helping a freind move his tach and speedo from the bars to the tank. He bought a speedometer adapter kit from jp cycle to do the conversion but we can't figure out how it mounts. Has anyone done this before or have a picture of they way they mount. Do we need a dash mounting plate?
Gonna need a picture of what you have or the J&P part number so I can take a look . What kind of tanks is the bike the one pc or the fat bob's ?
If your talking about the 2" tin C " brackets and the the hardware you use that mount the speedo & tack inside the tank mount cover , isn't a dash plate you have adapt the stand off's to fit .

Thanks for the response. I think we figured it out. We looked at another Fx and we now realize we are missing a hole in the frame. Just a dumb oversight on my part
