Default need help identifying this bike

I have an opportunity to purchase the bike pictured in the attachments. it has not been ridden in twelve years but was "running great" when parked. the owner parked it when his first child was born and hasn't ridden it since. he drained the tank but that's all. his description was 1981 FXR wide glide 1340 cc screaming eagle. I have been unable to find anything that fits that description on the web, so if anyone has any ideas on value before I go look at it I would really appreciate it.

I forgot to mention he said it was a shovelhead, that's why I posted in this forum.

The bike has potential... It's not an FXR - the rubber mount bikes had a different frame. It could be a wide glide (FXWG) or an FXEF with wide glide forks, or an FLH with the front tins stripped off. The VIN will tell you exactly what it is. For 1981 and later bikes:
Example: 1HD1AAK11BYO13478
The frame number is broken
down like this:
1 HD 1 AA K 1 1 B Y 013278
1 = Made in U.S.A.
HD = Harley Davidson
1 = Weight Class
1 = Heavyweight
4 = Lightweight
8 = Sidecar
AA = Model Designation
K = Engine Displacement
K = 1340 Shovelhead
1 = Introdution Date
1 = Regular Introdution
2 = Mid-Year (January)
3 = California Special
4 = Daytona (March)
1 = Check Digit
B = Model Year
B = 1981 C = 1982
D = 1983 E = 1984
Y = Plant of Manufacture (York, PA)
T = Plant of Manufacture (Tomahawk, WI)

J = Plant of Manufacture (Milwaukee, WI)

FL/FX Models
AA FLH - 80
AB FLHP - 80 Chain
AC FLH - 80 Shrine Chain
AD FLH - Classic
AG FLH - Classic w/ sidecar
AH FLHP - 80 Belt Deluxe
AJ FLH - 80 Heritage
AK FLHS - 80
AL FLH - 80 Shrine Belt
BA FXE - 80

unknown what condition in a shed the steel is in after 12 years soo 1500 maybe 2 thousand tops - it would cost a grand to get it on the road with out someting wrong with it - tires tubes maybe spokes - battery / cables - wire harness eaten by mice maybe - oil / gaskets every place will leak - you get the idea -- sure someone will tell you they found a bike that kicked over and ran after 25 years and they never had a days issue with it SURE i believe that -- jz

do i know what a shovelhead is, yes. do I know what every HD looks like and can I identify it based on a couple of low quality pics....no. would I like to have a shovelhead....yes. was I specifically looking for one....no. as I said in the original post the seller said that's what it was and that's the reason I posted it in this forum, hoping someone more familiar than I am with that bike could help me identify it and get some idea of its general value, he is asking 5k. I have been looking for a bike to play with, dress up and or rebuild and this one presented itself. I currently ride a 2013 road glide ultra and that will continue to be my goto ride for trips. I just want something to play with and ride around town. hope this clears up your confusion.

lots of guys from texas on the site and if you need direct help -- and i cant believe you cant find a running driving with normal looking chassis and chrome, buy a driver from a guy who lives in a house Not a cardboard box on the corner down by the tracks -- and you will be fine with a wrenching toy // have at it for that reason --

if you were in jersey we would be looking for an older dresser type machine as the look is timeless and it will always sell in a pinch - the FX stuff is all ways iffy when you go to see one - its a different guy who is always selling one of those --

hahahahahahaah i am going to catch it for that hahahahahahahahah -- jz

the guy is a reputable physician that has attended several of my classes, I kinda trust him and he is throwing in a lot of extra parts, seat, pipes, handlebars, breather, etc. unless it is totally rusted out I will probably get it.
