Well, since getting the Tri Glide last October, I have added the DK lift (awesome), lighted windshield/fairing strip (love it), chrome bumper, chrome exhaust trim, chrome fender trim, luggage rack, had the 1K service, and just today added the adjustable backrest (used mounting kit compliments of a forum member at a great price). I have really gotten used to the Tri Glide now, but gosh darn it, I still miss the two wheels. I guess it's because this is the anniversary of our awesome spectacular trip out west last year.

Exclamation I convinced myself today!

Today I finished changing my leaking clutch cable, and ended my career as a Harley Tech. The +6 cable I installed will be much better than the +3 I used the first time. A good bit more slack not a great amount but enough to keep the cable inside the frame until it crosses the gooseneck to enter the Batwing. Removed Derby cover adjusted clutch as per shop manual, gosh love it when a plan comes together. Header exhaust gaskets are a pain but needed to be changed (is there a secret how to get the old ones out? can you share please) they had me almost crazy! Also installed DK Customs Air Deflectors inside Lowers seems these are going to be a great hit with everyone as soon as the word gets out how well they work. I will give temps in another post I'm sure there is a marked difference. wrench safely fearless

Today my bike got a spa treatment. I was the support crew, while my husband did all the heavy lifting.

Clean and sparky, once again!

It's a mount for a Mr Fusion. Wait until that baby hits 88 mph!

So I'm going home yesterday from work, and I go to shift, and the splines on the shifter shaft and arm finally give up the ghost...

...as I pulled into the driveway. Crap, but at least the timing was right. I knew it was going to happen eventually, but it went sooner than I anticipated; I'd even made an appointment to take it in next week.

My dealer would now have to have ordered the parts (not in stock), and then come get it probably Tuesday, and fix it under the extended warranty. Then I'd have to have the wife drop me off there late next week, about 60 miles away. So I opted to see if the dealer closer to me, 25 miles away, had the shaft and arm in stock; they did, so I spent the $66 and took it for a ride tonight.
