That looks awesome! I've been using vinyl rim tape on my sportbikes for years. Decided to use it on my old SG just to set off the wheels a little. Nice thing is I used the reflective tape and at night it was like a flare when headlights hit it. Your bike looks sweet though. Good job.

i was actually going to do this last summer but couldn't find a vinyl I liked. I wanted a vinyl replica of the carbon i mainly work with. It has a very tight pattern and everything here would of needed to be cut too wide for a pinstripe to actually see a carbon fiber looking pattern.

 

will wear/loosen some, but for now really looks great/ nice touch with the 3m carbon parts. Paint may be your long term solution.

Hey, Swomack - How do you like those wind deflectors on the lower sides of your fairing? Are they effective?

 

53,000 Miles on my bike and I have never taken them off so I really don't know to be able to answer your question.
