Well actually, and this is a little embarassakin', when I installed the new seat I evidently partially disconnected the computer on the damn thing. I guess it wasn't plugged in very well (up to the locking point) and I pulled it out just enough to have every old Harley guy at the shop puzzled about it.
When I got there this morning all the mechanics and a few guys from the club were standing around it like they were giving it last rites and I thought "Oh F...!"
The shop owner's computer was hooked to it and they were all scratching their heads. It was throwing a **** load of codes, so I just told them to see what they could do and I left. Got a call a while ago, and went to get it. One of the old guys there reached over and pulled on the plug and it just popped out. Plugged it back up and all was good.
Almost as bad as me accidentally hitting the kill switch on Ol' Blue while riding Skyline Drive and not being able to figger out why she died on me until I noticed it was in the off position after going over wires and everything else I could think of.
good deal Tracy! Had a seat deal one. I installed the seat on my breather by pass hose. Took a while to figure out why the oil cap kept blowing off on my new motor. I was fearing the worst!
