****in dick, I was so excited when I read the title to this post. I thought there was a rumor or something and after extreme disappointment with the 2018 models, this gave me some hope. Now you took it away and I will forever hate you til the day I die as we are now mortal enemies. I hate you, and I hope you develop an allergy to chocolate, McDonald's cheeseburgers & chicken nuggets, and beer, and I hope you forget how to tie your shoes and if you wear sandals, I hope you forget which one is right and which one is left.
anyway, yea man I know, how many threads do we need for the same topic? That's just a waste of cyber paper.
It's just hilarious, you guys got me rolling. Every person in cyberspace (whether forum, Facebook, Instagram etc) is up in arms and feels like an authority to say the new bikes blow *** without ever having ridden them.
A) about 80% of people acting like they were going to buy a 2018 and now won't. Gtfo! You can't afford it and you're riding a 2006 because you're a "purist". If you didn't buy the 2013, 14, 15, 16, or 17, why was this your year?
B) same dudes saying "carbs are better". So again, that puts you out of the running for anything 2005 or newer right?
C) The MoCo made them lighter, faster, more agile, LED lights, stiffer, inverted fronts, 114" from the factory.....still bitching.
D) These will probabaly murder your Stock 103" in your 2016 Street Bob. I can't wait to see some faces when these 114" Softail Bobs smoke some "OG" FXDX's and Tsports off the line haha
E) I love how everyone acts like their old Dyna will go up in value. You're wrong..maybe for a hot minute but when a 2018 Toyota comes out, the 2001's don't go up in price. Quite the opposite really...old technology, old parts. That's like trying to sell a kid on a kickstart shovel when there's electric start fuel injected dynas or there. No ones biting. If someone wanted an 03 and didn't have it yet, I don't think the Frankenbob is going to change that.
Talked to my sales manager Buddy today. Specifically asked if he thought they were going to bring back the Dyna and he said "not a chance". He also told me he's already sold a new CVO bagger. The guy said he needs it in two weeks for a trip he's taking. Lots of luck with that.
