alright I'm gonna sound dumb as **** here cause I don't even know the correct name for the part, but I'm looking to put the guards or shields that dirt bikes have in front of the grips on my lrs for the winter. I've never seen them on a harley, and am having a hard time finding them or what they're called online. I really hate to ruin the look of my s by putting them on but when I ride in the winter with the heated grips turned up to 6, my hands still get frozen solid. I figure I can just take them off come spring.
I I plan on getting heated gear with my tax returns but until then I need something to help. My hands are the only part of me that actually gets frozen stiff.
If if anyone has installed these on a Harley please feel free to tell me what brand you got and how you like em. I may end up just fabricating my own, but I'd like to see what is available first. If they're cheap I'll probably just buy em.
I was thinking about Memphis Shades MEB7219 hand guards for the winter. Black plastic with alum bracket. About $80. This model is supposed to fit with stock turn signals. Clear plastic also available.

I've used these for years. The light smoke is almost invisible. I wear light gloves and Saturday riding in the rain, my gloves stayed dry. They let my heated grip work down into the mid 30Fs.
