If you've never had the gas tank off, now might be a good time, just to take a look at everything under there.

It's a sensor that is eliminated when you do a stage 1. Used to plug in the back of the air cleaner backing plate. No more backing plate...no more sensor.

That makes sense... I have stage 1 and the unplugged wire.

It was supposed to be used for an electronically activated fuel cap holder but the hd engineers could never get all the bugs worked out of it so now you have an extra plug just hanging out
