So started today 1½ hours motor was out... Need to build a bench tomorrow then the motor gets opened up! She's out. We just move here and haven't had time to build or finish my shop...

 

Those bearings were notorious for having the oil flush debris/pins thru out the engine. Sometimes the oil pump eats them.

 

Crank case and crank are at machine shop, cylinders pistons and heads are to..first look appears pistons and cylinders are ok, crank case needs repaired cam bearing journal and breather gear, heads might need valve job.

Oil pump shafts,keys, gears look great, inside oil pump body has some scoreing,

I will need a new cam for sure..

I have a S&S 124 in my 04 Roadglide, This bike i am planning on being just a super reliable Stock motor....looking for a nice gutless, cool running machine.

 

No ripping for this RK...lol

 

Well nothing major has happened..removed oil pan, cleaned out and replaced pan. Just been spending time cleaning and planning the rest of the build. Should get cases back in a week or so. Installing a modine heater in the garage/shop so completing the project will be comfortable...need some suggestions on head pipes and fishtails....
