Spent best part of the day helping my daughter do a mod on her house. First time out since the 1/4" (if that much) sn*w Friday night. My neighborhood had more salt than there was sn*w in some areas. Just unreal how much salt they waste. They did skip my cul de sac this time, so I knew how long it took the sn*w to melt on it's own - it was gone by 9am.
Probably those no season tires. Most of em don't have any better tread than "summer" tires, just have less traction on dry road. Next door neighbor complained his new car was crap in it's first winter, looked at the tires with just thin lines in em, told him get tires with a lug pattern, not continuous lines. He did, and said it did fine with those. I've used snow tires, any car or pickup handles snow ok with those.
