Put quiet baffles in my v&h short shots. Does a good job getting rid of some of the raspy high end sound.

So far today I adjusted the fork tube projection above the upper triple tree to .450 inch and put some blue loctite on the pinch bolts then tightened them to 35 ft lbs.

Sisters are coming over and will help me with the front wheel.

'bout damn time!

I got the front wheel buttoned up. Pulled the bike out of the shop - It's a miracle.

I think I'll pull it back out in the yard on the next nice day and wash it for the first time since I bought it a year ago. Run on sentence. I think the clutch could be adjusted. It's not bad, but it could be better.

So your sisters were a big help

How far off is that tire to being exactly in the center?

It's pretty near the same. Picture angle may give an optical illusion. But no matter, it's close enough for me

I just turned 88k miles on my 2008 FXD superglide and decided to change out my primary chain tensioner to a Hayden tensioner and i also changed out my compensator . Bike recently started having some starting issues when warmed up which i figured was from the compensator springs being worn out along with that self adjusting stock chain tensioner racheting up too tight . Whole job took about 2 hours overall with no issues to speak of ....... Bike now cranks up nicely and seems to run smoother etc . This bike has completed 14 round trips from the panhandle of Florida to South Jersey and back and has not let me down .
