Strategically placed Plastic jar will catch anything that would come out of the breather hose.

No drips, no mess.

Used to own Corvairs. hose on the Dipstick tube going into an oil can captured every drop of the blowby oil.

I then installed the DK filter on the end of the hose but in just 500 miles it was all plugged up. I have since gone back to the stock breather system till I figure out another method. I was going to go with the DK catch can but it is quite small so I would be having to clean it all the time considering how much oil was on the starter and underside of the body. Also I can not figure how and where to mount the catch can.
And just so I am not misunderstood because I am not very good at explaining myself very well, I am not saying any thing bad about DK Customs, in fact I think their products and their service are the best I have ever experienced. When I was using their external breather system the bike ran far better than stock, the only problem was how to stop the oil from spraying on the underside of the bike which I will figure out how to fix that problem somehow
I just ran the left hose down the left side of the air filter and the right side down the right side of the air filter. I used a Y horazontilly to connect the hoses at the bottom of the air filter. I hooked the bottom leg of the Y to the discharge hose and dtilled a hole in the lower left of the stock AC. Ran the discharge hose through that hole and routed it along side the engine, over the swing arm and attached DK's washable filter under the axel by the tie down eyelet. I used zip ties where ever the heat wouldn't melt them. When ever I wash the trike, I spray some soap on the filter and hose it off. Never had any drips on my garage floor in 6000 miles.

Thanks
yeah I know sorry it took so long.

Just took a coupler to the vent tube.

Had to enlarge the drain hole in the bottom of the housing.

Ran the tube down to the bottom. Just using a air stone for now, am going to get one of the catch cans from DK.
I don't have many miles yet due to weather. no sign of oil drips yet.
One thing make sure not to pinch the tube.

I installed a new battery to replace the 3 year old one that I didn't trust.
I really believe it will be riding weather very soon and I want to be ready.

Better weather today got to put about 60 miles on my TG. No sign of oil coming form the external breather. Seems to have more grunt on the bottom end. All and all pretty happy.

More grunt on the bottom end by redirecting your crank case vent.

Is this a seat of the pants thing, or, do you have data that would indicate better performance?

Seat of the pants. Yesterday was so windy can't check MPG. I'll get back as soon as I know. Does feel more like the Sportster though.
