Great day today. I left the house at 10am. It was about 34 degrees, sunny with no wind. I decided to head up into Wisconsin. I rode a lot of back roads as I made my way to Sauk City. From there I headed west on 60 to 18. From there I headed south, across the Wisconsin River and I took the first back road, County C, towards home. I stayed on back roads as much as possible. It warmed up to 61 degrees....for awhile. Around 1:30pm I was able to ditch my face mask for the rest of the day.

I got home at 6:30pm, logged 403 miles, which puts me at 2037 for the season....which is 19 days old.

I can, and I do, as often as I can. Since putting a backrest on my first Ultra, riding all day has become almost effortless.

I'm sure once I break out the Night Rod, hard tail, there will be way more stopping involved.

3 weeks since I rode...another Nor'easter today (4th this month)...looks like we'll get only about 6-8". But the light at the end of the tunnel is next week, may start hitting the 50s. I am so done with this weather!

Of course, now it'll rain for 2 months...

I thought we would have an early Spring, but we keep relapsing. And I have seen bikes out, but I would prefer to wait for some rain. But if it warms up without rain, I’m going to ride anyway. Sick of Winter.

Thanks for posting your pics. They’re very enjoyable.

I really enjoy this sort of blog post. This time of year it's like the ongoing saga of trying to ride but getting slapped with bad conditions every other day.

My wife and I went out a couple days ago after work. Temp was 60, but overcast. We leathered up and put in a couple hours of non-stop riding around our county. No pictures. Great to hear the M8 and Cannons doing their thing. Came home with smiles, and then dug into a bowl of homemade venison chili. No complaints.
