On another note, you said you downgraded from a Dyna...I'm actually surprised to see that. If you're wanting more power, find a shop that specializes in head porting and such. You'll get more power/speed for around the same amount of money that you're going spend on the 1200 kit. That's what I am going to do.
Here is one shop down the road from me who I plan on having them do a package deal up for me hopefully this winter. http://www.jayriddleracing.com/Machine.htm
Hi Lisa, I have an Iron on order too - my dealers first one and they want to borrow it for a bike show in October. I'm busting to see it and getting less happy with my 250 cruiser every day I'm getting SE slip ons and highway pegs and will leave anything else until I've lived with it a while.
My understanding is that a number of models including the 883 Low will be discontinued because of the downturn but the Iron (and I think the Custom) will still be available.
Cheers (from Sydney), Gil

I'm #2 on the list at my local dealer (Trivett in Alexandria)-I've been told by their inventory control clerk to look for mine hopefully sometime in October.
Pricing is $13,500 AUD OTR.
I WILL be getting the 1200 conversion kit and having it installed before I take delivery.
I'm from the US, so most of my other accessories will be purchased from the US and shipped to me here in Zetland/Sydney.
Hey
I am a new rider and a new harley owner. the Iron 883 sucked me in at first sight. Loving the thing so far. Super fun ride and looks awesome. I flipped my mirrors and they work 1000 times better. Great bike and I am hooked on harley now!
I was curious if anyone had any suggestions for pipes to heat wrap. I don't want to have to change anything from stock but the pipes and maybe get a somewhat deeper tone. Also it would be stupid to buy a higher end set of pipes only to wrap em.... Any suggestions? Also they need to fit with the HD forward controls
