The easiest way is to go with the fat boy fender 200mm, Thanks to ebay. I did it and it is a direct bolt up with a tiny bit of monkeying with the wire harnes because I went with a side mount licence and tail light. The only problem I had was using the x bones passenger pillion..... The forward bolt doesnt line up with the existing fat boy one so you just have to drill it through. I would suggest a moch up first before paint. It completely changes the lines and look of the bike .. I really like the shade tree or heartland fender but I dont think it would work with a passenger pillion... and the bride loves to ride a long.
Good luck with your change out.

I've got a Kustom Werks fender, slammed, with 16" apes, no front fender and slimmer sprung seat. Figure out YOUR style and go from there. CrossBones is a blank canvas, make it YOURS. I dig the FatBoy fender, not the direction I wanted to take mine though. Heartland makes a good set up, so does RSD and both are capable of going 2 up. Shade Tree cannot go 2up. I can go 2 up on my fender.
Here's some pics of mine:
Where did thew ECM go? and would you guys know anything about some sort of passenger seat for tat one? one you can hook up to the screws where the struts used to be?

Cut the license plate mount off (go side mount) ,,, lower the *** about
1 1/2 inches , change exhaust out to maybe some up-sweeps and get
rid of that sprung seat and go with one that goes with the curves of the bike ,,,, hmmmmm and ohhh yeah , line up those apes ! lol ,, jmfuo ...
I like the rear fender if the *** is lowered and that rear wheel tucked up
in there ,,,, still waiting to do that to mine !
