Manual override for alarm
unless you know the PIN for the security, you'll never over ride it.
secutiry on a dyna makes no sense. you need the key to start it.
not like touring or softail where you can leave the ignition unlocked and
walk away with the fob.
It's easier at the dealer to have the hook it up to the digital tech and
reset a pin for you and to program the fobs.
You can't program the fobs at home.
Buy and owners manual and a service manual, money well spent.
there are 2 service manuals, the regular and the electrical, the electrical
has alot of pages about security.
To start your bike using the security code (you must know the code if you dont have your FOB).
But if you have the FOB you can change the code at anytime even if you dont know the pin, read below.
the code is a 5 digit number 1-9
disarming the alarm: (With the known pin)
Turn on the ignition, (do not shake the bike or turn the stearing or raise it off its stand) quickly hold down both turn signals until the Key Icon flashes at a high rate in the odemeter window (5 flashes).
enter first digit of your pin by pushing the left turn signal until the first digit shows in the odometer, once the correct digit is reached, press the right turn signal 1 time to store it.
enter second digit of your pin by pushing the left turn signal until the second digit shows in the odemeter, once the correct digit is reached, press the right turn signal 1 time to store it.
continue doing this until you have entered all 5 digits of your pin. once you have entered the 5th digit and stored it by hitting the right turn signal once, the key icon will stop flashing, you can now mount, start and ride your bike.
if you do not know your pin number, but you have a FOB, you can change the number right now. FOB must be present to perform pin change.
select a number with 5 digits 1-9 that you can remember and nobody else will know. write this number down on your card.
Turn the ignition ON OFF ON OFF ON
Press left turn signal switch 3 times
Press right turn signal 1 time and release
Turn signals will flash 3 times and The current pin number will appear in the odometer, the first digit will be flashing.
enter the first new digit of your new pin by pressing the left turn signal X amount of times. once happy with the digit, press and release right turn signal.
enter the second new digit of your new pin by pressing the left turn signal X amount of times. once happy with the digit, press and release right turn signal.
After you enter the 5th digit and store it by pressing and releasing the right signal button, turn the ignition off before the security system rearms itself, This stores the new number, you have now changed your pin.
its fairly easy to do.

You can do that with the Dyna as well. I had my FOB beside my bike...started it and went to town. Turned off the bike and couldn't restart it cause I didn't have the FOB.

If you have a TSSM and matching fobs you want to get rid of, I'd be interested in trading you my standard TSM if our bikes are compatible. Otherwise the TSM will run you about $125 (I believe) from Zanottis or you might find one on eBay.
