I thought a few times about routing my cross tube over the frame now that I have the clearance, but just haven't gotten back to it. Make sure your handlebars dont hit the tank. Mine are now about a quarter in clearance. 2" would have made mine hit at full turn.

I just moved the engine guard forward 1.5" as my feet were hitting it. Next is to make a longer shifting arm and a custom set of stainless more narrow cut floorboards. Eventually?

How did you shim your engine guard forward?

Made a 1.5" spacer for the top as well as the bottom. The top spacer can be seen in the pic above. I was constantly hitting my feet on the gaurd. I love the look of brushed stainless steel and plan on making as many parts as I can that I think will look good.

Got it back together. Was able to move the rubber boot up to look factory.
