Default Now I get it

My bro wanted to enter both his 72 shovel and 94 fatboy in a show today and asked me to come ride one to the show for him. I rode the EVO to the show, it was nice, I rode the shovel home, it's in a hard tail frame with a springer front end. Not so much the ride of the bike but the Shovel engine itself was a hoot to ride.

My my wife is going to hate it when I tell her we need an old shovelhead FX....

FX as in no electric starter. I rode one for a year then decided maybe electric start was ok after all. Still miss it. Several times I probably saved my own life by being unable to kick start the thing. Once slept it off on a park picnic table.
For those without a program, the FXE has you guessed it an electric start.

After futzing with some electrical stuff I kinda miss my old kick-only Shovel....

I've had two shovels and loved them both. But, I also loved my Evo FXR and my TC Slim. I would have another shovel in a heartbeat. I do miss the simplicity for sure!

But, the sound of my last shovel through fishtails with a tiny baffle was pretty kick *** too!

I had a '75 FXE and loved it. Maybe because it was my first brand new bike.

Well that went better than expected. When I told her it would be cheaper to build than a friends big wheel bagger project she said sounds good to her...

Of course she also said my bros shovel looks like it would be fun to ride. I think she's a little jealous.
