$400??? For that money I'd expect a wiper ... no 2 wipers! A de-mister and auto tint function when riding into direct sunlight...

If some people are willing to pay a thousand bucks for a wheel, a 400 dollar windshield is right up their alley.

Those "WindVests" have been around for a long time (probably similarly priced)

 

I have one. It's in a box in my garage. Used it once.

 

I've got a couple...came with bikes...never used one yet
