Default Windshields

I recently bought a 7 inch LRS Ultra Elite windshield, it helped a lot with the buffeting, and at least now the air won't rip my glasses off my face. I really like the look, but the buffeting is still bothering me. I've added the Kuryaken fork deflector, and the bat wing air deflectors but the buffeting still bugs me, and I really hate the looks of the HD fork fangs. Has anyone tried the Ultra Wide re-curve from LRS? I'm having trouble finding a pic of one on a SGS, but the shield seems to be wider and may help.

Live with the looks of the fangs or live with the turbulence. Ultra Wide isn't the answer. BTDT

I did the same thing as you: windshield, fairing deflectors, triple tree deflector... But the buffeting still existed The air is coming from under the fairing and around the side of the tank. Set your cruise, and put one hand on either side of the tank while going down the road - you'll notice the buffeting disappear. The only way to get rid of that buffeting is with fork fangs or lower fairings.

I have JES Custom fangs (the older style, in wrinkle black, which is the color of the engine). JES Customs site HERE. The new style come in gloss black, denim black, chrome, and no coating.

See pics of my fork fangs on my bike here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/milwa...l#post16029263

Default Clearview shields tall

Im 6ft tall and had the same issue. I also wear a neotec helmet. I ordered a from Clearview size medium and still had the issue. Sent back and got the large with curve and extra width. I'm real happy with it.

Nope. You can vinyl wrap them if you don't want to have them powder coated. I wrapped the front surface of the fangs on my previous bike with carbon fiber vinyl.

Well, I ordered the fork mounted wind deflectors, # 57400146A for my M8 RK.. Hoping they do something to cut back on the buffeting. Over 65 MPH it knocks my glasses around more than I like..Thanks for the tip on these things..

Have you noticed any difference in the heat coming off the engine? Thanks.

Same thing with me, I'll be interested in hearing what you think.

Had em sent next day air so should have them by Thursday the latest. I'll let ya know. They we 15 bucks cheaper from boardtracker but they said 3-4 days to process the order. Went with direct from HD so I could have them for the long weekend.
