IMO the Stock RK seat is butt ugly.. I've run a C&C fastback on my 07 EGC for about 65000 miles so I finally got around to getting one for M8 RK.. Seat sets you back and down about an inch.. I opted for no backrest hole.. Sorry for the glare..

looks great. How tall are you? I'm 5' 8" and the stock is the right position for me. I think one inch back might be too much for me.

 

OP, your seat looks great. I love C&C seats except..............they only make seats that drop the rider, not keep the stock height or raise the rider. They do make a quality seat though.

 

I'm 5' 7" with a 29 inch inseam.. The lower seat helps with bike control at lower speeds.. The 1 inch setback does make you each a bit more for the bars.. I have the same seat except it's a little narrower on my 07 EGC (older bagger frame and wheels). For me the riding position is comfortable as I can use the whole floor board during touring but if you are short and have crash bars pegs they can be a bit of a reach..

One of the issues with the seat that I have is when riding in 100f plus heat.. *** can get sweaty..

IMO the stock seat is not that bad.. It just looks ugly.. Could have gone with a street glide seat which has the same fastback style and real close to the same position as the stock seat.. Heck I've got a 02 RKC that still has the original seat on it.. While I don't typically tour with it, I have put a few mid 400 mile days on it..
