Default Factory 47 straight pipes

Hello all i recently purchased a new 2015 Road glide and could not be more happy with it after getting some new bars on it! However in the sound department I'm not thrilled with the way the exhaust sounds! I have been looking at going with the factory 47 straight pipe slip on's and would like to know if any of you are running them and how your liking them? Thanks

"Top quality pipes without breaking the bank. No baffles gives them a loud aggressive performance sound".

You can probably find some pipes that sound good without making yourself and your neighbors go deaf.

Straight pipes will sound awful and kill your bottom end power. IMO Rinehart slip ons sound beautiful on the baggers.

I'm not looking for being deaf and ears ringing for three hours after a ride for sure my main thing is I like the look of the straights I've looked at rinehart systems and I do agree on a bagger they sound great just not sure I like the looks of the bigger mufflers

I've got White Brothers (since acquired by Vance & Hines) straights on my bagger. They have 18" baffles. That seems to be a very agreeable balance with the build of the motor (not near stock).

I've actually had comments about how quiet it runs for that set-up. When you crank on it, it sounds like a whole different animal, though.

Straight pipes will be loud, and you will loose bottom end torque. If that's what you have to have though, the sound and torque issues can be somewhat mitigated by installing the DK Customs Thunder Torque inserts.

I don't know of any slip-ons that are quiet, but have 'the look' of straight pipes. I'm sure they are out there. If they aren't straight and loud, then there has to be a place for the baffles and stuff.
