Default 2016 FXDF Fat Bob front turn signal relocation issue

Hey guys. I know what you're going to say.... have you searched for this answer in the forums? The answer is yes.

So, I have a 2016 FXDF Fat Bob and I purchased a new Memphis Shades Batwing fairing for it. As you know, you need to relocate the front turn signals to install this fairing. I purchased a cheap relocation kit off eBay that should do the job, but when I tried to move the turn signals today, I don't see how to separate the wiring for the turn signals from everything else. It looks like all the wiring is routed through the handlebars in one wire loom, and with other Dynas, I noticed that the wiring for the turn signals was separate and secured with zip ties to the outside of the handle bars.

Here's my question - How can I relocate the turn signals without cutting the wiring?

Pull the orange lens and then remove the reflector inside. Disconnect the wires from inside the turn signal.

Not sure what kind of relocation kit you bought, but the easiest way IMHO is to just cut the wires inside the housing and then when you mount the turn signals to the new location, connect them to the connectors that are there sort of under the front of the tank behind the tripleT.

If I were you, I'd beat feet down to your nearest Dealer and pick up the Service Manual for your bike.

I checked my service manual, but it wasn't clear on how to relocate the turn signals.

Here are a couple more pics of the turn signal wiring behind the starter and kill switch. I guess I'm going to have to cut and extend these wires right?

But the Service Manual does tell you how to disassemble or remove/replace them.

Yes, it does, but there's no diagram for rewiring them that I could find. Lots of written directions, but I'm a visual person and I need to see a diagram or step-by-step instructional images.

I have been wondering the same thing eventually I want to change my mirrors to LED signal mirrors....if you have to cut and splice, soldering followed with a heat shrink wrap is pretty dependable.....small gauge wire is not hard to solder.....if you want to avoid soldering, take a look at these connectors
I have used them many times.. https://www.posi-products.com/
and also these http://www.wago.com/221/us/?_ga=2.14...241.1495731197

Both can be bought on Amazon
Good luck!!
