Default Flush mounted gauge - glas cover

Folks,...

I have a flush mounted gauge (HD part 62811-08), but the mirror finish has been effected by moisture, I looked at trying replace it but have to buy the whole gauge unit to replace just the glass disk $$$$

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Robert

For the sake of curiosity, post a picture of what yours looks like.

If it truly is permanently affected, you have two options; keep what you have or replace it with a new one.

Maybe I should just leave the gauge of.... replace it with a blank. I'll take some pictures later.

Are you sure this is not from gas being spilled on it? Did you try to rub it out with compound?

Here is a picture of the glass.

And yes, I am sure it is not from Fuel. There is no way fuel could get there!

Got a blank now for the gauge hole in the tank.
