Default Rockets C Fender chop, lighting, and 260 Metz

14" off the rear fender, 260 metzler slid right in.

Also hand built plate bracket out of aluminum angle iron and 3" led.

2 x 8" led indicator strips (one on each swing arm).

Let me know what you guys think.

Well, since you asked... I think your fender looks like a work in progress...and would look a lot better if it had some shape to it, with the edge finished, instead of just chopped off square...Then repainted, with (or without) the flames that are now cut-off mid flame....Not sure about the lights?? They look bright, I'll give ya that....
Sorry , just my honest opinions.

Personally, I'd prefer a little more sculpting of some kind at the end of the fender, rather than just a straight cut.

I have to agree with WF, A straight cut looks like a hack job and at the top of the fender-curve allows you to look right in and see how much space you have between your fender and tire. A tad bit longer and a little finesse might have given you a better look. This is the bike in my signature that I did 5 yrs ago. I wish I had taken my own advise with my Night Train...

Yep.....Cutting the flames in half kinda screws things up a little. But what is done is done. So like it was mentioned , round up the corners a little and see if that helps the aesthetics of the job. It looks nicer with a short fender.

I think when I first looked at it my focus was more drawn to the tire and it's sheer size so the fender looked fine. After adjusting my focus solely to the fender itself, although I don't think it looks terrible or like a "hack job" like someone else mentioned, it does look like it's missing some shape to make it flow with the rest of the bike.

I've given a lot of thought to chopping my rear fender as well. Now that I see it as a square cut I'm not very fond of the look. I think you can alter the shape and still make the fender look decent. Maybe follow a similar curve like that on the end of the piece you cut off and give it to the current cut fender. Once you're happy with the shape and made the edges look nice you could just paint the fender all black and forget about the flames.

Another idea is to take the piece you cut off and weld it on top of the remaining fender and extend it a couple of inches and utilize the curve that is there. You'd have to fill the holes and bondo it all together and then paint it, but I think that would look good as well.

I'd like to see some detail on how you did the LED lights on the swing arm. I've been thinking of doing something similar to my Rocker. I bought some aluminum C channel that I will bend and attach to the swing arm and drop the LED's inside the channel.

I'd also like to see how you made the license plate frame and attached it, etc.

It's a good effort but I think it needs to be cleaned up a bit and given a flair of style.

I had an issue figuring out how I wanted to shape my fender. Making the radius was a little of a guessing game at first but I found using a large radius looked best. I ended up using a frisbee as my stencile and I think it came out good
