Default Back ordered parts. 3 weeks wtf??

Ordered some longer brake and clutch cables. This is insane waiting this long. Apparently HD has changed wharehouses in Canada. Nice riding season to be parked. . Not impressed!!

Have you considered sourcing the parts from an aftermarket vendor?

How long of a drive is it to your closest US Harley Dealer?

Last couple times I needed cables I ordered them from Eastern Performance. Never a problem. Then again, I am in the US. I feel your pain. Well, not really but I feel for ya.

Jeez. Only 20 years ago 28 days delivery was pretty standard on anything you ordered by post.

First world problem.

So, it sounds like you, or someone, is changing the bars and whoever it is didn't have all of the parts necessary to complete the job. They started to disassemble it and realized you will need longer cables. Sounds like poor planning and preparation to me. And three weeks is nothing compared to some times I've seen in the automotive industry.

This is why we do winter mods. So everyone and their brother isn't in the same parts line at riding season.
