Default Opinions on 2004 Road King Police bagger

Hey guys,

looking to upgrade my soft tail to a road king. Found a pretty sweet looking Road King police edition. It's a 2004 with 15,000 miles for $8,300. He won't budge on the price. Do you guys think that is a fair price? Photo is attached. Thanks in advance!

I paid $7500 for my 03 EG. They only thing I see on the RK that's notably worth it is the front wheel. Show up with cash and bid him lower if you really want it.

What can I say, I'm a cheap ***.

Fair is irrelevant.

If he won't budge, the bike is worth more to him than it is to you. You have two options:

1. Pay more.
2. Find a different bike.

It's not rocket surgery.

Around here, yes, that is a fair price. If you have to have it, get it. If you want to deal you have to be willing to walk away.

Agree price is relative depending upon where you live, but there are plenty of 2009-up police bike available for little more or the same as the seller is asking for. Look a couple hundred miles out of your area if you can - there is a 2014 Road King on this site for $11K and a 2011 for $8K. Plenty of deals out there, but I believe $8300 for a 2004 Police Road King is a little on the high side....

It has an air cleaner from a 103. If the seller actually swapped a 103 drivetrain in there, then they have a bundle of money sunk into that bike. Then there is the big wheel, fairing, LED headlight. I don't think the price is too far off.

If you like it and it fits your budget, go for it. You can't take your money with you.

Yeah he said he liked the way the air cleaner cover looked. I have almost talked myself into it. I'm putting down a little bit so payments would only be $125 a month. I don't think I can go wrong. I know I want a bagger but not the bagger price if you know what I mean. Thanks for the input!
