On a Dyna

Best considering the road condition and views and curves and joy of riding and traffic.

I searched youtube vids and seems like tail of the dragon is a popular one. Never been there, hopefully one day.

What is your all time favorite?

PCH north from LA to Big Sur. This was 1968 and I'm sure the scenery is just as amazing.

Easily Beartooth Pass, Montana. I was on a long tour with my whole family. I was riding a 1976 R90/6 and froze my chi-chis off. I remember putting my hands over those big *** cylinders to keep them warm. It stands as one of the greatest roads and overall road trips I've ever been on.

Iron Mountain road of the Black Hills in late fall. Made the entire length and saw only two cars. Colors were fantastic. Going again in a couple of weeks...

Just got back from 10 days in Utah. Route 12 from Bryce Canyon to Torrey (Capitol Reef) is one of the best roads I have ever ridden. I have have ridden all over this beautiful country, Canada and in Europe, but that stretch of road was amazing. Road conditions, weather, lack of traffic and killer vistas. And it was all day long, not 11 miles (but I do love the Dragon if in the area). Check it out sometime.

That sounds amazing. I've never had the chance to ride in Utah. Might have to head that way on the next family tour.

Anyone asks me about my favorite road and that is it! Hogsback will get your attention.

Add in sections of Hwy 89 and Hwy 24 and you'll have memories for a lifetime.

On any Harley? A counterclockwise circumnavigation of the Big Island of Hawaii, starting at Harley of Kona.
On a Dyna? Gotta think about this for awhile as I have had more than one Dyna...

I'd like to take that ride someday. I hear hitting the Great Divide in Colorado is a good side trip to Sturgis.

In Savanna, IL there are two biker bars, Poopy's and the Iron Horse, that are great hang outs. Poopy's has live music all weekend during the summer and a large outdoor stage for it. The Iron Horse has a boardtracker and hillclimber museum in the back and some pretty good local music in the front. Hwy 151 is nothing to write home about but Hwy 64 is a great ride and the River Road is beautiful in the spring and fall. I take a side tour from Galena, IL to Hanover, IL called the Blackjack Rd. Great twisties and a fun ride on a dyna.
Here's some video riding north from Savanna. Blackjack turnoff is at 3:06. The video seems to cut the best twisties out though.
