Default Avon handgrips

Looking for opinions on Avon grips. I am looking at the Memory foam and air cushion grips. Are they constructed from metal or plastic? What other options are there in vibration dampening grips (like Iso grips from Kyrakyn)?

Thanks

I had a few sets of Avons over the years - been happy with all of them. They have metal end caps, but the inner sleeve is plastic. The clutch side grip also has flared piece on inner sleeve that fits under clutch housing to secure grip, so you can remove easily and use on another bike. Just bought a set of memory foam grips (medium size) with chrome end pieces and will probably be selling in a week or two. My bike got hit parked outside my house a few weeks back and since I am doing some work, I decided to blacken the bike out more. Handlebars, grips and controls will be all black. Bought another set of Avons. I only went on two rides wth the Memory Foam grips before bike got hit, but they are very comfortable and absorb nicely - I would recommend them.

I'm happy with them...I installed a set on my Slim an had a set on my Fatboy. I thought there were thinner than the ISO grips from Krykyn I had on my V rod.

I had a set of Avons that I liked a lot better than the ISO grips. Nevermind that the ISO grips fell apart in the housing. I have since changed to H-D Magnum Get-A-Grips that I really like.

I can't say anything about the memory foam or air cushion grips, but I have a set of Avon Custom Contour grips on Reaper, and they are super comfortable. They're plastic inner sleeve, with a nice checkered rubber grip, and metal end caps (I got black, but they're also available in chrome). The diameter is 1.25", which works really well with my small hands. They're plug and play, and take very little time to install.

Cheers!

I may have to check if Avon offers any with the open ends so I can add those weights that stick out the ends that are supposed to reduce vibrations...my throttle hand gets numb after a while.

Avon is a quality grip. I'm not into foamy squishy grips tho. I bought the standard knurled rubber sleeved kind. They have metal end caps. I have 'em on both my Deluxe and and my Bonneville.

I'm with QC on the ISO grips. OK when new. Doesn't take long before they start falling apart
