Default Oil transfer fixed........

........so far.

Got the '17 FLTRXS back Friday. Only 40 miles from dealer, though.
Rode another 150 today. So far no oil transfer from trans.

Before, by now there would be 46 ozs in my primary in 200 miles.

Hopefully this is the end of it..............

Thats good news. Hopefully you come back and offer up what they changed on your bike. Otherwise, just like a virgin, Thanks for nothing.

Please let us know what they did. Mine went in for the "kit", made no difference what so ever.

Two things...

First, I'd be a little cautious proclaiming victory after only 200 miles.

-and-

Second, How can you start a thread like this without sharing any information of what the repair actually comprised?

Come on all, be nice. OP is a good guy and may have been an oversight. He will catch us up I am sure.

Well, I don't really know what they did.
All of the posts on the oil transfer a week or so back is where the SW said it was impossible for the oil to transfer.

They never made a service ticket where I took the bike in, I gave the bike to the sales manager and went and picked it up from him. (I buy from him)
He said they changed a seal because one side of the seal would let oil transfer from the trans to the primary, if it was losing oil as fast as mine was, so that was the problem.

However, my trans oil is now red colored, not the usual Harley primary gray/brown color.

If I find out any other info, I'll sure let others know..........

Yeah: about the 200 miles.

I couldn't ride 100 miles and I'd be down 5 ozs in tranny oil.
So, it's already an improvement........

Might have asked in another thread, but did you say what dealership you were dealing with?
