Default 2017 RG Special head change options

I have the 2017 RGS with 6.5 touchscreen/nav. head. I upgraded system with amp, processor, and speakers. I really feel that I could do better by doing away with factory head unit. Going to add rear speakers this winter, and want to get some feedback on what is available. What I have is good, but could be better. My current setup is CV 600 watt amp,JL Audio Fix 86, and Hertz speakers. Maybe I am being too picky here, but I have a friends with aftermarket heads and have more umph than mine. All info is appreciated.

Couple observations. That particular amp is only rated at 100 watts @ 4 ohms. Normally not enough wattage for the Hertz speakers depending on which model you have. Does you no good to have a DSP if you don't have enough power for your speakers. That factory HU will work just fine as long as you have a set of BT355 line levelers. I think your main issue is lack of power to your speakers.

amp model number is:SRPM700.4D
I feel that its pushing the speakers enough,it just distorts around 80% volume.
Sorry for wrong info on amp.

I thought that the processor would take the place of line level kit.
I am not trying to disagree, just don't know. I really appreciate your time in helping me. Please explain.

I'd like to know the answer to this myself. For those of us that haven't had our HU flashed and finding a shop that that can do the correct flash is out of reach, will using the BT355 in front of the DSP help the tuning process?

Replacing fix86 with RF DSR1 processor. Keeping factory head unit and adding 8 inch lid speakers, tweeters, and 10 inch sub. Adding an amp to push it. Santa thinks I behaved this year.

In my limited understanding, a processor does the work and replaces BT355. I am open to any info contrary to this. I did have my unit flashed at dealer, but do not recall details of flash. seems like it was the no rear speaker option.

I am by far a guru on this, as I'm learning like the rest. I don't know that a line leveler in front of a dsp would make the tuning process any easier or not. I used a BT355 before I got the Arc PSM, but no longer use it. The dsp takes place of the BT355 and IMHO does a lot better job of correcting the stock eq curve even with Arcs out of the box tune. Of course, tuning with the dsp really makes the big difference.
