Been looking at a lot of different boots for summer riding, and i was wondering if anyone has compared these boots in person before. I really like the idea of the zipper vent in the riddick, but i was wondering how the cordura material in the boxbury breathes compared to an open zipper. I avoid riding in the rain, so waterproofing is not a concern.
Or if anyone has a recommendation for a good breathable boot, i'm open to further suggestion.

I have no basis for comparison, but my wife has the lady's version of the Riddick boots (I forget the name) and she loves them. With that said, I would never get caught with something named "Boxbury" on my feet. Riddick, on the other hand...

"Did not know who he was f***in' with...."

 

Is there a reason you limited it to just those two?

I am a fan of White & Hawthorn.
For what the cheep boots cost these days you can get a real pair for not much more (if any).

 

Im not familiar with either of them. I prefer the Magnum boots.

 

Hell my Clark boots work fantastic not heavy or hot and very comfortable.

Those two seemed to offer some of the best ventilation i've seen. i already have work boots, i am looking for something that offers more protection than sneakers, but won't make my feet sweat.

I have the Riddick boots and have had them for atleast four years now. They are perfect for riding all day as well as off the bike. Case in point is when you are at bike events such as Laconia, where you could be walking for a while. Now I will say that if you get caught in the rain your feet will get wet as the zipper side does allow water to penetrate the boot. Other than that yes they are very comfortable and breathable on hot days.

 

My wife loves hers (the women's version is called Sydney) and she wears them to work all the time, which means she wears them sometimes 12 hours at a time. I'm seriously considering the Riddick boots for myself, as I like the zip up feature and I just plain like the looks of the boot itself.

 

If you FEEL THE NEED for the logo go for it. Otherwise get a decent boot that is not made overseas.
