That’s exactly why I went with S&S and EPA certified

I haven’t heard of anyone removing them, I know mjwebb and a few others have said that they’ve had a baffle come loose.

Call fullsac, they should know what it entails

I hope you have better luck with Fullsac than I did. I have been wanting to recore my SCs for a few months now. If I knew where to purchase the parts I might try to recore it myself.

Never ever heard any muffler that sounds decent or performs well at all simply by removing the baffle. You get a loud hollow tinny sounding muffler that doesn't flow well. companies spend large amounts of $$ getting mufflers to perform and flow well. Removing the baffles just makes more obnoxious noise.....

Have you heard s&s mk45's with the baffles removed? When my dealer put them on my bike they removed them before i picked it up. I think they sound very good.

Are you sure they removed the baffle or did they just remove the db killer?

Hmmm. Well she said here are the baffles. If you think its too loud without them, you can put them back in.

Didn't really know there could be BOTH inside slip ons.
Now I'm curious. lol

So this is what she handed me.

Ok one more edit.

Found this video on another thread/section here after a google search which show removing the db killer, which looks like the part in the image above thats captioned baffle in that google search. lol

I run the S&S GN mufflers, bike sounds really good with them db killers removed, but it runs a little better with them in, which really sucks cause they sound not so good with em in. So, I put em in then out then in, I think Im SCREWED!
