Default power vision auto tune question

Is the power vision auto tune feature as good as power commander V with autotune? Have been running pc5 with autotune put cams and pistons on bike no problems runs great but that system utilized wideband O2 sensors where as power vision does not.

Power vision has an add on "Smart Tune" module that uses wideband sensors.

But the basic autotune on the unit with just OEM narrowband sensors does a pretty good job by itself.

Power Vision wide band options...

Autotune Pro - Uses widebands for tuning only

Target Tune - Wide bands for tuning and regular operation (permanent install)

I have been running powercommander 5 with the added on wide band autotune on my Dyna and recently (after over a year of auto tuning and creating a map with it) moved it over to my 2018 softail fat bob.

The power commander 5 for the 2018 softail's can use the AT-101B auto tune, the only thing that's changed is the plug that draws power, so you can just tap into any aux power line for that.

I did consider the Powervision, but don't like the idea of autotune with narrow band sensors. It seems the only way to get a true autotune wideband setup is by purchasing the add on module.

So in the end, I found that using the power commander 5 and the add on wide band autotune kit was much better (for me) and cheaper.

I know the Powervision itself offers more tweaking but I didn't feel I needed it at this time.

Also, just to add I did speak with Dynojet extensively on this and their advice was that unless you were getting the full autotune setup for the powervision, to go with powercommander 5 with autotune as that it was better than using the target tune with the narrow band sensors.

thanks for the info like the idea of not having to find a place to put the pc5 and autotune module (it was tough on my Nightster) so the power vision was tempting. Haven't taken the seat of the fatboy yet to see what kind of room there is but pc5 has worked on my old bike.

You can't use target tune with narrow band sensors

Sorry, you're correct. It's called autotune basic (that uses the narrow bands) I'm going to edit my post to correct it.

Edit: looks like I can't..
