New exhaust installed
I just thought I would post a follow up on my 2014 Ultra Limited project since I have asked many questions here the past 3 or 4 months.
I finished my exhaust install today. I put on Vance & Hines Monster Ovals and Power Duals headpipe this week. My initial thoughts are these are great slipons. I like the look and love the sound. In all fairness I haven't rode it yet due to the patch of ice at the end of my driveway and 30 degree temps.
The install was pretty straight forward. I honestly can't see paying a dealer much to do the install. The worst part was getting at the flange nuts on the headpipe and that wasn't all bad. The fit and finish on the slipons and headpipe were great as well as the new brackets. Included instructions were good.
This project definitely would have been more of a challenge if it weren't for my J&S jack. This was my first time using it and it works as good as it looks. I debated between this and a table and I'm glad I went with the jack. I will admit raising the jack the limit with my bike on it made me nervous the first time but it was very solid and I was confident enough in it to lay under the bike a few times.
Thanks again to all that offered input on the project and the jack.
