Default Is it possible to have an intelligent discussion about the M8?

I've been a member at HDF for almost 6 years now. I have participated in many good discussions, shared information I have learned and bought and sold many parts through our classified section. But I am at a point where I believe there is not much good coming out of this particular section at all. Last June we bought a CVO Street Glide and I was very excited to learn about this new engine and it's possibilities. I can't read a thread in this section without seeing the same damn people posting the same damn **** in every thread. The inadequacies of the motor company, the conspiracy theories, Harley engineers don't know ****, "I'd never buy one"....... If you have read any threads about oil pumps, fluid transfer, or sumping you know what I'm talking about. What bothers me the most is most of you that drone on and on and on about this **** don't even own an M8 powered bike. SERIOUSLY we all know how you feel shut the f*#K up and move on. YOU'RE NOT HELPING AT ALL. When I have to sort through 10 tons of **** to find one ounce of good information it gets real old real fast. Some of these threads have started off great until you ******** find your way to the party and then you start piling on the same old crap you have piled on every other thread. There are many good people here trying to help and share their findings Steve, Max, Stone Cold all come to mind and I thank you for trying

I agree. I rarely spend much time in this section because of all the BS by the same people. I pop in to check on the project those three men are working on just to see if anything is changed. Thanks for addressing the elephant in the room.

Yea, I feel kind of like a freak because I have an M8 with 5000 trouble-free miles on it.

I have one, I don't regret trading a 2016 in on it. It has served us well. Only 13,000 on it I ride the others often. Wife ride on back she likes it.

Well said Fat11Lo. Sometimes when I get in this M8 section I start feeling guilty for having a good bike I enjoy.

I try not to worry about any of the problems I've read about with the M8. But, in my mind with a little over 6k on my bike I think about how will I get back home when several hours away from home. Hell, I've even planned my rides for the day in the direction where I know a Harley Dealer is located. At the end of the day, I pull back into the garage, check the fluids and all is well. I have felt guilty as well.

There are a few here that have made my ignore list for the very reasons the OP is posting about. Would be nice to increase the signal to noise ratio here.
