Default Back on a Sporty

Just sold the Road King Tuesday. Going back to the 1200c since my Ole Lady won't ride it. Already ordered a PV-2B, Velociraptor and a set of Khrome Werks 3" slash cut slip ons. Plan some other mods also. Getting older. Guess a Sporty was my first Harley and may be my last.....if I don't win the lottery and get that Break Out...hehe.

Congrats! I, too went from a RK back to a Sporty. As a "senior" rider, I pretty much do day trips now, and the 1200T is perfect. Enjoy.

I started using the Sportster after going solo-permanently- last yr. I am really enjoying it. 1200cc is plenty--it used to be a big motor. I think the frame size is what makes it a one upper. The service stuff is just so darn easy. I loaded it up and did a 4.5k tour last fall and it was very capable and comfortable--Mustang seat. I plan on better H/L and probably oil cooler, though. Hope that it works out for you, too.

Default Great move don’t look back

I gave up riding touring bikes a little over a year ago. Got rid of my 2013 FLTRU and bought a 2016 Xl 1200C. Modified it into a mini bagger and love it. Won’t go back. Love the sporty

I think I'll get more use from the Sportster. Won't let me post pictures from my phone. Keeps saying it exceeds the 5MB limit. I'll post some when parts come in and I get them installed. Stock bike is in my avatar.

Bought my first Harley back in November an 09 1200 Sportster. Everybody tells me I'll be upgrading to something bigger, I don't think so I bought it for short trips to the lake or work and has all the power I need.

I'm told the saaaaaaaame thing. oh, it's a great starter bike but you'll be on a big twin before you know it. Fact is, I've ridden big and small bikes and far prefer 'em small and nimble with good power. I'm not saying I won't ever want a big ole bagger but I get tired of hearing it, to be honest.

Why would I go to a big ole bagger. I would have slow down. My Sportster is Hammer powered. Yippee.
