Default Streetglide performance questions

I have a 2014 streetglide special with screaming eagle 4" cannon slip ons on it with stock catalytic exhaust. I'm about to purchase the Vance Hines power dual headers, but wanted to get opinions on tuners and air intakes. I will be doing the install myself, but if the tuning requires the dealer I have no issue with that.

The tuners confuse me a lot. So I have heard that the screaming eagle tuner allows me to do other stages? In the future and more Miles on the bike I would like to eventually do a cam. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you

If you are planning to do more then head pipe and air filter, I would get a tuner that can handle that. TTS and Powervision are the popular ones, also Thundermax.
If you have a local dyno tuner that has a good rep, ask him what he likes to use and have him tune it with that device.
The guy that tuned my bike likes the TTS so that is what I went with.
The deal here is buy what can grow with your build. If you go with a FP3 and then decide to do major motor upgrades then you will be buying a tuner that can handle that.

Do you know if the tuner Harley puts out would be able to grow with possible future changes?

I'd stay far away from the harley tuner. Go with powervision

I agree with triple A, stay away from the harley tuner. Power vision or TTS will handle it all. Comes down to what the guy tuning the bike likes to use

Highly recommend the FM Stage 1 AC...I think its called the AC/DC now, but I could be wrong. Also concur with everyone else, the Power Vision is where its at. I got mine through FM and they provide some of the best fuel maps you can get. Their customer service is 2nd to none.

I would contact Fuel Moto and get a Power Vision thru them, order it preloaded for your upgrades. If your just doing exhaust and intake you can download a map and auto tune with the pv. It won’t be perfect but wait on a dyno until you do cams. That will still probably be a better tune than most dealers I’ve seen...

as mentioned...call fuel moto and purchase your power vision from them. they will add a tune for you based on what your present mods are and will send you an updated tune when you decide to add mods.
