Default Facing a conundrum

So today I find myself a newly single man. I have a 16 SG Standard turned into special that is paid off. It has just under 17k miles. I bought an 18 SG Special in October for the now former ole lady. It only has less than 800 miles on it. That is obviously no where near paid off.

I love my SG and I have been working to get it where I have wanted it. Still a long way to go of course.

I will not ride the bike that she was riding.

Should I try to privately sell the 18 SG and lose who knows how much money while still making payments until it sells knowing that it could be a while? Why by this one used when I can buy that one new...

Should I trade in the 16 AND the 18 SG and get myself an 18 RG? Again, who knows how much money I will lose on that!

Should I wait this out until the 2019 models come out? Try to privately sell the 18 SG in the meantime?

I welcome suggestions and input, especially if you have been in this situation.

If you absolutely will not ride the new one then just sell it and keep your 2016. I would prob rather have the new motor over the 103 but thats your choice

I love the M8 motor. Its nice. That is why I am considering trading in for 18 RG. The fact that the bike was hers, I am not down to ride it and claim as mine. I want to be rid of it.

Depending upon how much you owe in the ‘18, I’d sell it, or let a dealer buy it from you...and as long as you’re not in the hole...say f-k it and be done with it and the bitch.

swap the seats between the 2 bikes , it won't feel like riding hers .

or just sell it and take the loss if you're happy with your bike .

sorry to hear of your situation , good luck .

Yes that is what I would do. You should come out better. Or worst cause get a smokin deal on a 2018 at the end of the model year.
