Default Scolded for riding a motorcycle

I think you might find some humor in this. Went for a ride today, and while on my ride I remembered that I didn't put sunscreen on my big nose, so I pulled in to the first drug store I saw. After the purchase while putting it on, an elderly woman pulled up next to me. She got out of her car and gave me and the bike the evil eye. she then looked me in the face and said to me what are you doing on that thing and then asking how old I was. It was all I could do to keep from laughing because I'm 67. She proceeded tell me how dangerous they were and how she knew people who were killed while riding and she told me at my age I shouldn't be on that damn thing, and left me by telling me to be careful, oh yeah she told me she was 82. So I guess the moral to this story is make sure you put the sunscreen on before you leave the house, and stay away from drug stores in the afternoon when the older crowd are getting their persciptions.:i

Last summer I was riding my SG with my girlfriend and stopped for a bite to eat in a strip mall. When I came out there was this 90 something little old Dutch lady standing there staring at my bike. We struck up a conversation and it turns out she used to ride her own Harley, that is until WWII broke out! After the war she immigrated to Canada and hadn't ridden since. Well of course I had to do the right thing and take her for a ride, so the girlfriend grabbed a coffee while I took her for a half hour spin around town. She was thrilled to be back on a bike and had no fear. So it goes both ways I guess, anyhow I don't know who was more happier, her or me. Girlfriend took some great pics of her on the bike to send to her son, grandkids and great grandkids and boy was she pleased with herself.

Look on the bright side, she's watching "Wheel" right now, and getting ready for "Jeopardy" in 10 minutes. Sure hope she doesn't fall asleep in her chair before final jeopardy like yesterday...

That’s funny. But, I’ve gotten nothing but admiration from older people. They frequently go out of their way to talk to me about my beautiful motorcycles. Maybe it’s the location.

I know somebody who lost 2/3 children to motorcycle accidents. I could understand if she was down on bikers.

I think this was her way of hitting on you. She wanted you to park the bike, hop in her car and go find a secluded place to park.
