Default 18 Limited wobble!

I recently traded in my 12 Limited for a 18 Limited and to me it seems like there is a considerable amount of wobble that seems to start right at 100mph on a straight away and even more noticeable at 80 to 90 on curves? I know at times, which it didn' seem to be consistent, on my 12 that I may get a bit of a wobble at 105mph but not every time, and I never noticed it on curves? Has angone else noticed this, and or has anyone else noticed this being more of a problem on the 17 or 18 models? I talked to my tech and he said it is a aerodynamics issue and the only way to remedy this is to get a Road Glide lol...

Also I just saw today that there is some aftermarket outfit designing stabilizers for this very issue? Anyone aware of this?

It’s like the sound barrier, you just have to clench your teeth and power through it! Will straighten out at around 150.

Of course the Harley man will tell you that it’s your riding style and not the bike!

100 plus on the straights and 80-90 thru the curves on public roads . I think you need to ditch your touring bike for a crotch rocket and pay up your life insurance. JMHO Oh,congrads on the 2018 Limited.

I had this problem on a 2017 street glide, I seriously thought there was something wrong with the suspension. After switching to Dunlop American Elite tires the problem went away, the stock harley tires are not as stiff in the sidewall as the elites.

I thought the Dunlop Elites were the same tire construction as the Dunlop OEM with a different tread pattern.

No, the sidewall is stiffer on the elites.

EDIT: let me clarify I am talking about the Dunlop American Elites.

Thanks! It' been years since I've had any rockets around, they don' travel well and I'm into longer trips now days and when I'm going Im always 2 up..I just know when I'm just out for a ride around where I live (country farm roads in Iowa) I like to open it up once and a while...it' definitely not my normal cruising speed lol...I don' think it's unreasonable to think I should be able to go 100 or a ltitle over without hitting a wobble.

both Dunlop OEM and American Elite carry Bias and Radial offerings with different Load/Speed Ratings, H or V..guess for those that enjoy surpassing triple digit speeds they should be sure they have the V Rated Radials..other than that they both only have the MT (Multi Tread) on the rears for increased centerline wear
