Advice on good riding roads from Jackson, WY thru Colorado back to Missouri
I'm planing a trip up to Sturgis and then up to Yellowstone. Coming from I want to ride thru Jackson, WY. A couple of years ago I rode into Rock Springs. Thru Vernal,UT and Dinosaur. Made my way thru Gunnison, CO and Coplexi. Up to Colorado Sprinds then home on I70.
I'm looking for a different route to maybe go down by Silverton and Durango. Then cross thru Colorado and will probably take 36 into STJoe, MO and back down to KC. But this is where the 416 fire is at. are the roads closed? I've got a month so maybe the fire will be contained. Or should I hang up thru Craig and Steamboat Springs? I want to miss the fire area. Any route ideas are appreciated. Trying to get in as much good riding as the time allows. Thanks HMT

good riding roads
This is what I have had good luck with when I'm looking for good riding in the rockies
http://www.butlermaps.com they are a little $pendy but the do last very well
wife and I did a similar trip 2 years ago, there is so much to see and great riding.
