Out with the old, in with the new
I just installed the JL VX800/8i, Focal Impulse 4.320 and Sony XAV-AX5000. It was definitely a tight squeeze, but it fits and the hood goes back on fine. It has the regular 8 channels and a 2 channel passthrough that's also controlled by two channels in the DSP. It has a wired input to control it and Bluetooth controller for a phone app. I ran it for about an hour and 20 minutes of that was with the hood on. I checked the voltage and temp and it's shown in the picture. This amp is the best amp I've ever heard and the noise floor is gone. I still have some tuning to do. The deck was an easy install and works great. I was hesitant to go aftermarket, but tired of messing with the stock HU. It came with a 1 year water warranty to sweeten the deal a little. I've always liked Focal and the Impulse is a beast for its size and didn't let me down. I have my saddle bag back and everything is conslidated back in the fairing now. Tomorrow I'll clean up the wiring and start playing with it more.

Thank you Louis, Andy, Rob and USAproud. The JL amp is running;
4 - 4 ohm tweeters parallel on 2 channels
2 - 2 ohm 6x9s on 2 channels
2 - JL 880s bridged on 4 channels
The AWs are bridged off the Focal Impulse that's rated at 160 x 2. That little amp actually is very powerful and is pushing those speakers nicely! I think it was Todd that said you could probably fit 2 of those Impulses in the CB hole and it looks to me like he's right.
