Lightbulb Lowered bike, now jack too high to fit under

Lowered my Road King Classic by 1" and now my Motomaster (Canadian Tire) bike jack http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mo...1015p.html#srp no longer easily slides underneath. ARGH !

I have to raise the bike off the kickstand by hand (pull it towards me) so the bike is about vertical and then try to kick the jack underneath with my feet best I can w/o looking. It was very fiddly getting it in the right place before. Now it's nearly impossible.

Has anyone put smaller wheels on their jack, or perhaps made a block to attach to their kickstand (to stand the bike upright) when wanting to use their jack?

Ideas?

Seems like if I could get the jack 3/4" lower, I'd be OK. As it was, the jack JUST barely fit below beforehand.

If you only need an inch you can ride up on two pieces of plywood (front and back tires) with a gap in the middle for the jack.

I just roll my front wheel up on something like a piece of 2x4 and slide the jack under.

I made this to put under the jiffy. Holds the bike nearly vertical.

What will you do to the bike if you ever get it off the ground?

I just slide a piece of wood under my kickstand to hold the bike upright and the jack fits under with no issue. No balancing act included.

This works. I've done it that way.

Thanks everyone. My garage is very very tiny, so I'll have to maybe jiggle some things around for some extra room ahead of the bike. As it is, there really is just enough room to pull the bike in and close the door, so I was not really in the mindset of moving it backwards/forwards onto a 2"x4" etc. I can make a block for the kickstand easy enough. Great design BarneyBoy.

I just moved my snowblower sideways (for a little forward/reverse wiggle room) and then ripped a ~7/8"x4"x12" (aprox) pc of plywood I had with a nice gentle "ramp" wedge on the nose of it, then pushed back wheel of bike onto the 'ramp'...., a 2x4 block under the kickstand and voila, jack goes back underneath now slick as snot.

Easy Peasy. Thanks for pushing me in the right direction...here I was ready to mod my jack and I was thinking of this 180 degrees the wrong way.
