Default Micro amp mounting pics

Could someone please share some pics of how you mounted your amps on the clutch side of Rushmore batwing using BT pod eliminator brackets?

Reach out to Tailwind. I think he has the same setup you are using.

What amp are you using?

Im in the middle of mounting a 2nd amp today. I was going to mount the JL MX280/4 on clutch side vertically (remember seeing pics posted in this forum awhile back), but found it fits perfectly in the space between BT bracket and radio on clutch side. Under the JM amp tray. Wedges in there nicely, friction fit.

just have to have out to adjust settings, then put back in.

GZ Micro 250x4. Thanks. I still have the CB module so it probably won’t fit in there. Probably will have to mount it vertically.

You may want to hit up Cpbedore. He has a Limited, thus a CB. I believe he still has a GZ as well.

Sorry..didnt think of that. I swapped head units and took cb out last week. If the length of the GZ isnt longer than the mx280, vertically should work, but might want a thin back plate, to use bottom screws. I was only able to use top 2 screws into bracket if i went vertically.

Disregard the wire mess, havent finished cleaning up wires. Im done for the day.

Looks good. I might just try and move the CB module and use that space.

there was a metal circle ring on factory base plate in front of pocket. You either have to bend it over or cut it.

Hopefully that space works for your amp.

I cut the ring off already. I have my BT 355s tucked in there right now so would have to move them also. Hopefully cpbedor has some pics of a vertical mounted amp I can look at. Tailwind has also given me a couple of things to look out for.

Depending on the woof, that GZ will mount vertically in a matter of minutes with some industrial Velcro and 16" zip tie that goes around the amp and the bracket. If u have a larger magnet woof (bigger circumference) u can use a dremel multi tool and shave off the 3 higher bracket mount fasteners, drill the holes nice and purdy, the use flush mount 3/4 inch bolts which frees up another 1/8" for the amp to mount tight up against that pod eliminator bracket. It literally is a game of millimeters when ur not willing to put amps in bags or packs and I'm that guy.
